WEB SITES (Click here to view eLearning)

O'Reilly's Treasures

www.oreillystreasures.com

On St. Patrick's Day, everyone is Irish! This means a website featuring Celtic Imports can expect plenty of visitors from all over the world, even on the other 364 days of the year. We completely overhauled the O'Reilly's site, incorporating their distinctive logo and bold corporate colours.

  • Colourful and unique design reinforces and reflects corporate and store colours
  • Irish blessings and facts on every page
  • Well-loved on-line Newsletter with large (and enthusiastic) subscription-base
  • CGI-based Newsletter subscription form

Bujaki Auto Sales and Service

www.bujakiauto.com

A simple, yet graphically-rich site and corporate-identity makeover for a well-respected and established car dealer. Photo-composite illustrations were created to produce a unique identity for each part of the business: Sales, Service and Welding.

  • Bold, innovative and eye-catching design
  • Fun and instantly identifiable new logo
  • Developed in Macromedia Fireworks
  • Integrated Vehicle Search Engine

Customer comments:
"Fred took my request to build a web site for my business and produced a very professional product. He provided many suggestions on format. I'm extremely happy with the results."

The Hen House

www.thehenhouse.ca

We undertook to replace a drab, confusing and graphically-unappealing site for a wonderful country store in Beachburg, Ontario. The navigation and graphics of the site were completely overhauled, demonstrating what can be achieved with proper design, even for a small site such as this.

  • Unique graphic design that offers clean and concise navigational components
  • Driving instructions and map developed by a professional cartographer
  • Header background that changes with the seasons
  • Numerous product photos that can be enlarged with a single click

Mammark

www.mammark.com

Our client wanted an updated website that better reflected their corporate image as a manufacturer's agent for upscale office furniture. Flowing curves were the principle design requirement and an attractive, modern look was created based on this. A new iconic logo was also designed for the site, along with thematically-unified business cards and letterhead.

  • "Product Cubes" were designed in a 3D CAD programme and use image-swapping code on mouse-over events
  • Great care was taken to produce a site that scales perfectly to any screen resolution
  • All colours are derivative of Mammarks "corporate blue", with semi-transparent white overlays added to retain an overall monochromatic effect
  • A compact, fast-loading site that belies its rich graphic appeal

Simple Things

www.simplethings.ca

The stars of this website are Jo-Anne Gauci's stunning wilderness photos, used to create beautiful hand-made greeting cards. The site was designed to be as simple as possible and act merely as a backdrop and navigational tool for the photos themselves.

  • Developed completely in Macromedia Fireworks
  • Custom graphics, including realistic drawings of the photos in their finished greeting card setting
  • New logo and corporate identity take advantage of company name and do not detract from photos themselves

Wirecraft Manufacturing Inc. (under construction)

www.wirecraftcanada.com

Starting with deep green and gold colours that gardeners are instantly familiar with, this site features virtual tabbed pages for an easy-to-use interface. A Flash-based slideshow on the home page—featuring beautiful garden accessories in professionally-landscaped settings—is both subtle and striking at the same time.

  • Seamless integration of Flash and HTML
  • Choice of on-line HTML catalogue or downloadable .PDF catalogue provides the low-bandwidth visitor with a choice
  • Tabbed interface updates to provide visual clues that clearly mark the visitors current position—a feature that clearly increases readability and ease-of-use

Ottawa Valley Bathtub Liners

www.ovbl.com

This site makes use of a tab metaphor for navigation, resulting in a clean, effective interface. A Macromedia Flash animation effectively illustrates the core business of the client.

  • Stunning "before" and "after" photos dramatically illustrate the effectiveness of OVBL's products and services
  • A helpful FAQ intercepts telephone calls by providing answers to the majority of OVBL clients' common questions
  • Tasteful use of Flash is a good example of how to take advantage of an available technology's strengths, rather than simply putting it in as eye-candy
